Castellated Plates for Floor Heating Installations
FIXING MATERIALS FOR INSTALLATIONS BY MEANS OF CASTELLATED PLATES
When the subfloor you are laying your system onto is not insulated, it is advisable to place insulation underneath the pipes in order to reduce heat losses. Castellated insulation plates offer a total solution for insulation and mounting the pipes of the floor heating system.
For installations directly on existing insulation, castellated plates without insulation can be used. These plastic panels can be placed on top of PUR insulation or EPS insulation plates and will hold the underfloor heating pipes in place. The special design makes the castellated plates suitable for underfloor heating pipes with a diameter of 14mm to 16mm.
Installations on Castellated Insulation Plates
When making use of this way of installing underfloor heating, the heating pipes are mounted on castellated plastic boards with 11mm or 31mm EPS insulation underneath. The plates are designed to simplify the preparation of the floor for laying heating pipes which reduces installation times.
Installations on Castellated Plates without Insulation
Before the floor heating pipes are laid, plastic castellated panels are placed over the (existing) insulation. The pipes are mounted directly on this insulation by means of the panels. Because a floating floor is being created by this type of installation, it is important that edge insulation is placed against all the walls.

- 28mm castellated insulation plates, supplied per 20 pieces / suitable for 20 m²
- 47mm castellated insulation plates, supplied per 10 pieces / suitable for 10 m²
Castellated plates without insulation
